Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 15 June 2026

Our commitment

XIII Studios is committed to making www.thirteenstudios.agency accessible to the widest possible audience. Accessible design is part of how we build websites for clients, and we apply the same standards to our own site.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Where we fall short, we want to hear about it so we can improve.

What we do on this website

This site is built with accessibility in mind, including:

  • Semantic HTML — landmarks such as header, main, nav, and footer, and a single clear h1 per page where appropriate.
  • Skip link — a “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users.
  • Keyboard access — interactive elements are reachable and operable with the keyboard, including navigation, forms, and carousels.
  • Visible focus — focus styles on links, buttons, and form fields so you can see where you are when tabbing.
  • Labels and names — form fields have visible labels; icon-only controls have accessible names (for example “Open menu”, “Close menu”, carousel controls).
  • Images — meaningful images include alternative text from our content system; decorative images are marked accordingly.
  • Language — pages are marked up in British English (lang="en-GB").
  • Responsive layout — content reflows for different viewport sizes and zoom levels without losing functionality.
  • Blog content — articles use structured headings, a table of contents, breadcrumb navigation, and readable typography.
  • Reduced motion — decorative motion respects prefers-reduced-motion where animations are used.

Conformance status

We assess this website through a combination of automated checks (such as Lighthouse accessibility audits), manual keyboard testing, and review of structure and labelling.

Based on our most recent review, core templates (home, blog, contact, and legal pages) meet many WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-off checklist, and we update this statement when we make material changes.

We do not claim third-party certification. Conformance can vary by page, content update, or assistive technology.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas and are working to improve them:

  • Third-party booking — Cal.com scheduling pages are not fully under our control and may not match our accessibility standard.
  • Linked content — external sites (for example LinkedIn) have their own accessibility practices.
  • PDF or embedded media — if we add downloads or embeds in future, we will provide accessible alternatives where required.

Compatible technologies

This site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) together with common assistive technologies, including screen readers and voice control, on desktop and mobile.

Older browsers or uncommon assistive technology combinations may not support every feature.

Feedback and contact

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or if you need information in a different format (for example large print or plain text), please contact us:

Please include the page URL and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within five working days and will work with you to provide the information or service you need.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for advice under the Equality Act 2010. In Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI).
